Pale Blue Globes


I went to Carl Sagan’s grave in Ithaca, New York today. I don’t have an essay to go with it (yet I suppose). I just wanted to post this photo. I am a huge fan of Sagan and it’s the only celebrity gravesite I have ever actively sought out. I am also currently reading “Contact”.

As you can see in the photo, there are tiny globes at the top. A photo of the Voyager craft (“Send more Chuck Berry!”). Many rocks. And a tiny sign that says “Botanists Love Carl Sagan”.
